A trip to the remote Chaco Canyon to visit the Chaco Culture National Historic Park is well worth the time. The final road to the park is long and rough so be prepared. This is an ancient and beautiful part of New Mexico.
After spending the day in the Santa Fe area, we stopped at the supermarket and bought the fixings for a steak dinner to cook at the condo we had rented in Cochiti. Upon arrival, back at the condo, we unloaded the groceries and our camera gear.
As always, I opened my laptop and started the download of the day’s images. Jim went out on the deck to set up the grill for the steaks and so I walked out there and got an amazing surprise.
The condo we rented in Cochiti was about halfway between Albuquerque & Santa Fe so we decided to make a trip over to Santa Fe, established in 1610.
The primary reason we were in New Mexico in October was to see and photograph the Albuquerque International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta. On opening day we got up early in the morning, packed up and started the drive to Albuquerque from our rental house in Cochiti.
